Abstract
  • After the publication of the human genome sequence in February 2001, public and private efforts are undertaken to extract valuable information from the wealth of data. In our approach we systematically extract all human genes, known and unknown, analyse them in a consistent manner to find out their (possible) function and refine the annotation manually if necessary. All informations are stored in a relational database that can be accessed via a web-based user interface.
