Abstract
  • The authors regret the error that was made in their published manuscript in which, in the discussion section, on page 7, the last sentence in the second paragraph read as “But in a recent study, it was shown that only the DSST component of the global cognitive assessment was abnormal among adults with SCD [49], suggesting that the impact on cognition, of the co-inheritance of SCT and no APOE ɛ4 risk allele might be similar to that of SCD.” That statement is incorrect and should rather read as “But in a recent study, it was shown that only the DSST component of the global cognitive assessment was abnormal among adults with SCD [49], suggesting that the impact on cognition, of the co-inheritance of SCT and APOE ɛ4 risk allele might be similar to that of SCD.” The authors would like to apologise for any inconvenience and confusion caused.
